 Map of Sydney
SYDNEY

Sydney, the most beautiful city in the world, is a very giant city. From est to west about 55 km and from north to south about 70 km. There are over 5 million residents and more than 25 % of Australias population lives in the Sydney area.

Main attractions are of course the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge located in the heart of Sydney.

Nearby the Opera House you have Circular Quay where regular shuttle ferry services are available for trips round the whole Sydney area.

About 1 km south of the Opera House and Circular Quay you have the AMP Tower Centrepoint with a superb view over the whole city. The tower is about 300 metres and has a lovely self select revolving restaurant that you must visit.

About 1,5 km est of the Opera House you will find the district Kings Cross, or as it is best known The Cross. Many says that you haven't seen Sydney until you have been to The Cross. The Cross is to Sydney what Soho is to London and Times Square is to New York. Here you will find nightclubs, restaurants, pubs (pubs = hotels, there are no pubs in Australia), bars, entertainment and hostels (hostels = simplare guest houses).

Darling Harbour is a new shoping, restaurant and cinema area about 1 km southwest from Circular Quay.
